There are many other reasons the teens could have lost control of their car besides the weather are. The teens could have been distracted, tired, not paying close enough attention, or driving too fast. A reasonable and prudent speed means a speed that is never above the speed limit, and that is adjusted to road conditions such as traffic and weather. Their lack of driving experience may have played a role in this crash because they might have never driven in rain before. I don’t think the time had played a role in this crash because it took place at 8:30 a.m. and that isn’t very early.

The weather involved during the crash played a large role at the time. However, other results could have impacted the crash such as cell phones, other drivers, or even a passenger. In my opinion, reasonable and prudent speed relates to the speed that is safest at the time on the road due to traffic or weather. Another possible reason for the car accident could be the lack of driving experience. The teen girl had little to no experience driving in pouring rain. Possibly this could have been the other major result of the accident. The crash happened at 8:30 am, I do not believe this was significant because the teen should have been awake enough by then to drive and there would be enough light out to see clearly even while it was raining.

I think that the weather was the main distraction but it could of been something on the side of the road or something inside of the car that distracted the driver. Reasonable prudent speed is the lower speed you should be going when the weather has changed. I think the lack of experience played a role because the drivers probably did not have as much experience of driving in the pouring rain. So, with not as much experience they did not know how to react to the down pouring rain. I think that the time of the crash plays a big role because then you know that the crash did not happen at night where they could of not seen anything. Where if it happened in the day it would of been easier to see what is on the road.
